Acuto is a municipality of the Ciociaria area, in the province of Frosinone, located in defense of Sacco valley, on the slope of the mountain with the same name. Although the archaeological finds attest the presence of settlements since the pre-Roman period, the first records date back to the Late Middle Ages, when the village was founded by the inhabitants of Anagni, that sheltered here after the invasion of the Saracens in the area.
