Pontelatone
Description
The city was originally Oscan, then Samnite, dating back to pre-Roman times. It has always been appreciated for its spa waters.
The original centre of Pontelatone was surrounded by walls with two urban ports; today only that one located on the north-west part is still visible. A large castle that overlooks the town was built during the Angevine domination by Tommaso Marzano.
