Teano is located on the scope of the Roccamonfina massif, between the Via Appia and the Via Casilina. According to the tradition, the historical meeting between Vittorio Emanuele II and Giuseppe Garibaldi happened near the bridge of St. Nicola, in Borgonuovo town.
Do not miss to visit the Archaeological Museum of Teanum Sidicinum, where you can admire many funeral relics , and the "Museo Garibaldino e del Risorgimento", recently opened with many paintings portrayed the Italian Reunification.
The Duomo, built in 1116 and reworked in 1610, is one of its most representative monuments. The facade is preceded by a portico and, on the right, there is an imposing bell tower whose base is covered with ancient marble.
