The history of shoes starts with sandals, centuries and centuries ago. Sandals were initially a very simple sole made of leather or wood and two or more crossed stripes of leather created to protect foot from dangers and only after centuries evolved in a series of models and styles according to the evolution of fashion and tastes.
The workshop Sandali Tipici was born in 1970 in Maiori, one of the jewels of Amalfi Coast treasures, thanks to the creativity and passion of two brothers, Alfonso and Gennaro, who decided to run their own atelier of hand made sandals after spending years of training and practice at best local masters.
Nowadays, Don Alfonso still continues this art with the same passion and enthusiasm together with its son Gerardo, who inherited the same "addiction" to quality and hand made shoes.
After 30 years, the workshop is still waiting for you in Maiori, an enchanting corner of paradise on Amalfi Coast, one of the most appealing destination of Italy for international tourists.
