Remains of pre-romanesque settlements have been found in the hamlet of Oratorio and Collegrande. It was mentioned for the first time in the "Chronicon Cesauriense". Fief of the Leognani-Fieramosca family, the town is characterized by a typical medieval appearance, with picturesque small streets (called le rue).
